Butt Massage Ride from Banks to Buxton or Beyond

Let's ride a portion from Banks to Buxton. It's slightly (to me), uphill, so bring your gears, and remember its downhill all the way home

Paved nicely, and we'll stop at the picnic tables in Buxton. Bring a huge heart, because its needed and schedule a massage for afterwards, cause that will be needed as well.

We will hit the Cornelius RoadHouse (McMin's) afterwards for a much needed bite and adult beverage.....The Ride is 7 miles from Banks to Buxton, elevation gain is definitely uphill......Where eagles fly......

Phillip, Excellent blog, my friend. Glad you joined us! We're all about the fun. I call it " Cruising with the top down". A lot of us are on another meetup called Kayak Portland. Come join us on the water, as well
    Cheers

Excuse the intrusion (again)...but I wanted to share my blog post regarding the Saturday ride. I have been documenting my move from Texas to Portland I could NOT ignore the impact this past Saturday had on my assimilation. Thank you all again : http://holycrapwearemovingtoportland.wordpress.com/

Absolute perfection -- what a great way to spend a Saturday!. I don't know how this meetup manages to put together such perfect weather, fun 'n' easy rides, and great people (and good grub, and beer!)... Thanks to Richard and Dan for making it all happen. Laurel, when you go to the bike shop, you might ask 'em about setting you up with quick-releases for your wheels -- you were lucky someone had a wrench that would fit those axle nuts!

Perfect day to discover a new bike trail. Farmland to forest! I had a very bad start but Dan sent out the APB and Richard came to the recuse parts and tools in hand! What great guys! Richard, if you still have my old tube I"ll to learn to patch it. Getting bike tools this week. Met new awesome people that motivated me into spring cleaning! John, I'm starting with the coffee cups and sock drawer!

Beautiful day with some wonderful people! The ride seemed so short, though, so longer next time! We missed Donna's smiling face. Never seen a fuzzy bunny pushed in a stroller, before. Great day.....

This was a great start to riding this long trail. We started at the start of the trail, a bit unusual for us, I know. We had a rough go at the start as we assisted in changing out two flat tires. We are sorry for the delay, but some times you need to help the damsels in distress. And we pedaled on the flat and then the first 2 miles of the uphill. This was the first 7 miles of the trail where we stopped for a rest. Here we met some new riders and invited them to join us. On the way back we were screaming down the hill and hit the flats. After the ride we met at McMiniminimiminimums.. What a great day, Thank you Dan and gang!

It was a real nice ride... beautiful weather and beautiful scenery...loved all the pretty yellow flowers along the trail! 60+ miles from home... kinda far to go for a bike ride.
