What we're about
WHAT: Mountain Bike Group WHO: Intermediate to advanced MTB riders (men, women, all ages) who are looking to make new friends and family to share their love of mtn biking, adventure, and the outdoors with. This group is for anyone who likes to ride in Redding but will definitely have a more “enduro” feel to it. Redding of course has many cross country and all mountain type riding. So we will be doing what is available but road trips will be focused on places like Ashland, Mt Shasta and the like. WHERE: Redding (and places nearby)—Ride location will be communicated beforehand. We will do local rides, as well as weekend trips and day trips to other amazing riding locations around northern ca. WHY: I find that it is hard to meet people in Redding and it’s especially hard to meet people if one of your favorite past times is mountain biking because you are out in the middle of nowhere and alone a lot. I feel it’s time to create a community centered around the sport but also with a focus of friends and family. It’s not just about riding with people but also about being friends, celebrating and encouraging each other, believing in each other’s dreams and having a meal and beer at the end of it all. Its about feeling like you belong somewhere. I’m hoping this group becomes something much more valuable than some people that get together to ride but that real lasting relationships will form. WHEN: Every other Saturday 8-1. We can adjust rides days as the group needs. This will evolve over time. We will do a long but paced ride (3-4 hours start to finish) followed by lunch and some beers to close out the day. We will do local rides, as well as weekend trips and day trips to other amazing riding locations around northern ca. HOW: Use the contact information below to reach out to me and let me know if you are interested. Also feel free to contact me with any questions. Once I have one person who is interested we will start riding. Eventually I will set up a site with a calendar and information but until then I will just text and email out updates to the group.
