We focus on "drop-in" critique.

If you are interested in a quick in-person critique of your work, please prepare your manuscript as follows:

Double-space, 12pt serif font (Times New Roman, Courier New, etc)
Double space is useful so people can write comments.
Name, title, page number at top of page (header).
Try to limit to 6 pages/1500 words. If you go over by a page/couple hundred words that's fine.
Check attendance before you leave and print out enough to go around.

We usually chat for a bit at the start of the meeting but we hope to get going ASAP.
Meetings can last 2-3 hours depending on attendance/length of submissions so plan accordingly.
Our format is to hand out submissions one at a time. Each person reads it through and writes down comments. Then we hold an open forum where people can discuss the given piece.
Comments should always be constructive. We are all at different levels so it's important to use respect.
