Glen Eden Trail Hike Mendo Group

This 8 mile round-trip, non-loop, 1600' elev. gain hike begins in Scotts Valley (Lake County) and ascends initially through private lands to the Cow
Mountain Recreation Area and to our destination at Goat Rock Campground. The views of Clear Lake, Mt. Konocti, and the wilderness of Cow Mtn. are
wonderful, including the area near Goat Rock which is rapidly regenerating after a fire. Wildflowers should be in bloom.This is a strenuous hike. Class: S-8-B. Bring at least 1 liter of water, ankle high boots, layered clothing, raingear, lunch and snacks. Carpools: Meet: 9 am Ukiah Raley’s lot opposite Reilly Auto Parts or 10am trailhead. From Ukiah, take Hwy 20 east to just past Blue Lakes and turn right on Scotts Valley Road. Proceed about 3 miles to the trailhead parking on left. By reservation only.
