A small Navy Seal Team (4 men) were deployed to observe/capture/kill a Taliban leader that was trying to “unite” the Afghanistan people in an effort to support Radical Muslim movement. One of the primary goals of the coalition in Afghanistan was nation building, that is, providing a security environment conducive to the establishment and growth of a democratically elected government, as well as infrastructure support. This move demonstrates the way a situation can deteriorate; even though, or perhaps, because you are doing the “right” thing, or just following the rules of engagement. American forces have “Rules of Engagement” that provide authorization for and/or limits on, among other things, the use of force and the employment of certain specific capabilities

The Solders and the Villagers in this movie suffered because they did the right thing in protecting lives.

This movie should be required viewing – so that all understand the cost of freedom!

Not sure I liked this movie. My opinion is that they made many wrong decisions that cost many life's.

Intense....limited plot, other than a look into the horrendous circumstances that confront US Navy Seals in combat.

It was very intense. It reminded me of several war movies/documentaries I have see where one miscalculation or lack of communication can result in tragedy.

Me no likey the movie. Everyone involved made bad decisions which eventually brought down a poop storm on themselves. The village people too. But Marky Mark was taking the blows and kept on ticking like the Energizer bunny. I just love him!

Where are you meeting for lunch?

I would prefer eating before an afternoon movie most weeks, but the 2nd Tuesday of each months is my Retired Teachers' Breakfast, with Lunch after the movie, and Dinner at Z-Pizza in Claremont before Inland Valley Storytellers! I look forward to all of these, but may just go for tea and conversation after this week's movie, to save room for Pizza with Robin!

Since the movie starts late and is over two hours long, would anyone like to meet for "brunch" or "lunch" at 11:00am...before the movie? It would sure make the day a little smoother for me.
