Do you enjoy speaking different languages? Why not join our meetup group and come and practise your French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese or English as a foreign language (EFL) conversation skills in a friendly, relaxed and supportive atmosphere at various venues in Reigate, Redhill, Caterham, Epsom, Merstham and surrounding areas! Other languages may follow.
As well as providing opportunities to practise your foreign language conversation skills these meetups are also very enjoyable social events. Any members interested in becoming co-organisers are welcome to contact the organiser (Angie Potter).
Please note that some of the venues we use also have gardens and/or tables outside. Please remember to check the outside areas too when you come to a meet up, in case the group is sitting outside. For example, the garden of the Market Stores pub (in Reigate) is accessed by going inside the pub at ground level, up the stairs to the first floor and then out through the back to the garden (which is at first floor level, as the pub backs onto a hill). Google maps automatically describes that pub as "Inside the Market Stores" and that description may automatically appear in a meetup advert, but some of our meetups do take place outside in the Market Stores pub garden (as well as inside the pub). In the "Photos" section of this website you can see photos of some of the venues we use for our meetups (please see the Reigate, Redhill and Caterham albums). That section also contains photos of some of the countries where the languages we practise are spoken.
If you join our meetup group but would like to opt out of receiving emails about our events (or to reduce emails to a minimum), just click on "My Profile", then on "Emails & Notifications", then click to "untick" the relevant boxes to switch off emails. You can always check our "Upcoming Meetups" section now and then to see new events or to check for any changes to existing events.
If you book to go to an event and then find that you can't go, that's not a problem but please do remember to change your RSVP from yes to no, so that the meetup organiser will know who's coming.
