Mindfulness is a practice of being mindful of what is happening around you and within you at the moment it is occuring. It is the act of being fully engaged in the present moment.
During meditation, thoughts, feelings and sensations are observed. To bring a wandering mind back to the present, awareness is brought to the breath. Bringing awareness to the sensation of air moving in and out and how each breath may changes and be different.
While the intent of this group is to incorporate more mindfulness into our lives, the format for our meditation time may change from week to week. **RECORDED OR LIVE MUSIC MAY BE PLAYING DURING MEDITATION TIME. THERE MAY BE GUIDED MEDITATIONS. THERE MAY ALSO BE TIMES WE MEDITATE IN COMPLETE SILENCE.**
DOORS OPEN at 6:20 pm. Please come on in and use the restroom if needed, then join us in the Sacred Spirit room located down the hall, the last door on the right (past the refrigerator ).
GROUP MEDITATION begins at 6:40 pm.
Meditation for 50 minutes.
OPEN FORUM DISCUSSIONS or SPECIAL GUESTS/PRESENTERS immediately following the GROUP MEDITATION:
After group meditation, there will be an open forum discussion.
THERE MAY BE Special Guest/Presenters from time to time. If the event needs to run later or if the price needs to change, the event details will be updated for that event date.
