• Entheogenesis & How We Relate to Others: A Journey to True Love & RA

This talk is part of the Gaian Mind Psychedelic Conference. Check out https://www.meetup.com/portland-psychedelic-society/events/261118276/ or https://www.eventbrite.com/e/gaian-mind-psychedelic-conference-tickets-61262822752 for the full conference description. Tickets for the 2-day conference are $55. There will be no single-day or single-talk tickets available. Entheogenesis and How We Relate to Others: Entheogens have the potential to help us peel back the veils and understand the divinity within. However, if we only see “God” within our individual selves, we are only seeing a tiny part of the picture. What does it mean to relate to “others” when we begin to see the divinity in each of us? After one very intense and fateful LSD trip, Phoenyx became suddenly conscious of how riddled our society is with unhelpful cultural norms that promote entitlement, duty, rigid roles, and inauthentic behavior in our relationships. Ever since, she has made a study of tools we can employ to interrelate more consciously, embrace authenticity, and cultivate honesty, trust, communication, and respect in relationship frameworks that promote freedom, autonomy, and acceptance. About Gaian Mind Psychedelic Conference: Terence McKenna once said, “Either we are becoming more sensitive to the presence of the Gaian Mind, or the Gaian Mind, under pressure of the approaching apocalyptic crisis, is beginning to raise its voice, louder and louder and louder, so that now, when you go into nature, every rock, every tree, every stream is saying: Awaken, awaken! Come to focus!” As many of us have come to realize, psychedelics can serve as aids in this awakening. After nearly a century of ignorant authoritarianism, a new era of psychedelia blossoms on the horizon. More and more people are discovering for themselves the transformative power of these extraordinary plants and fungi – better still, even government agencies, once rigid and myopic in their understanding of these medicines, have started to turn around. In recognition of this shift, The Gaian Mind Psychedelic Conference would like to welcome an international assembly of some of the best voices in the psychedelic Renaissance to share their knowledge, insights, and hope for a better tomorrow. Please join us for this two day event with over 20 speakers! • RA 101: Forging More Conscious, Authentic Relationships

    People's Food Co-op

Western culture is riddled with unhelpful relational norms that have resulted in increasing rates of failed marriages, highly dysfunctional power dynamics, ineffective communication, repression, oppression, depression, and desperation. This talk explores a different model of consciously approaching our relationships in a way that is less defined by expectations, assumptions, rules, and obligations. Relationship Anarchy is a philosophy and practice grounded in respect for autonomy, authentic co-willing, voluntary engagement, and anti-authoritarianism. It calls into question the conventional social norms, beliefs, and customs around relationships (including the notions of ownership, scarcity, and entitlement), allowing for conscious alignment of intentions with those we choose to relate to. RA transcends polyamory and romantic/sexual relationships, in general, to include ALL of our interpersonal relationships. In this talk, we will cover the 5 pillars of the philosophy and their underlying truths and discuss helpful tools for putting RA into practice. Sliding scale $5-15 donation greatly appreciated to cover costs. <3 (Bitcoin, Venmo, CashApp, cash, check, GooglePay, or PayPal are all options.) Please contact me privately if finances are an obstacle. Other trades are possible. :) Phoenyx is a free-spirited, psychonautical futurist, writer, artist, educator, consultant, coach, and philosopher, passionately inspired by individual empowerment, harmonious interpersonal dynamics, community-building, authentic relating, voluntaryism, and tech-forward ecological regeneration. This talk will immediately precede RA Social: Meet + Greet. Come for one, or stay for both! SPACE IS LIMITED, so please RSVP (to both events, if you'd like to attend both). Please contact me privately if finances are an obstacle. Other trades are possible. :) By popular demand (via the RA workshop survey), this talk will explore how Relationship Anarchy theory contrasts with many of the ideas, beliefs, and standards around relationships that we grew up with. Whether we like it or not, we have been socially programmed with various values and expectations that don't necessarily align with how we might choose to approach relationships consciously and authentically. The good news is: We can uninstall these programs and engage in our relationships with a more open mind and heart. The first step is becoming conscious of what these programs are, where they came from, and how they're reinforced in our culture. Then we can begin the process of analyzing, deconstructing, and reconstructing. We will explore strategies for reevaluating assumptions, the practice of living with fewer expectations, and reframing the "should" beliefs we have about relationships. In the context of conscious relating and relationship anarchy, understanding these concepts is paramount. So what do they actually mean? What does it mean to honor our own autonomy, exert our own agency, and encourage others to ask for our consent? What does it look like to respect others' autonomy, encourage their agency, and ask for their consent? Why does this sometimes seem difficult? After some philosophical/theoretical discussion, we'll practice putting these concepts into action, and discuss strategies for becoming more self-empowered in our everyday lives and relationships with others. These concepts can apply to platonic as well as romantic/sexual relationships. No charge to attend. Donations heartily welcomed to enable more workshops! • Conscious Relating 101: An Introduction to Relationship Anarchy

    • What we'll do Have you ever wondered what it's like to relate to others in a way that is less defined by expectations, obligations, commitments, and rules? RA is a practice based in self-awareness and personal responsibility that honors autonomy, authenticity, and adaptability.
