How long have you been street riding?

Since 2013.

Do you have more than 1,000 miles of experience? You are still welcome to join if you don't.

Yes. about 11,000 as of the time of this entry.

Do you have any dirt-riding experience?

Yes, I used to ride ATCs and I sometimes take the DR off-road.

What do "sweeps" do in a group ride?

They are experienced riders that "bring up the rear" and make sure no one gets left behind. They stop if there is trouble to assist. Additional sweeps for larger groups may ride ahead and prepare a, intersection for the group to make a turn.

In group rides, do you like to: be in the front, be towards the back, somewhere in the middle or act as a sweep?

It depends on the group. I don't bring my ego on rides so if the group is fast I'll hang out towards the back.

Introduction

I bought my first-ever motorcycle in February 2014. I like street rides, and I also like to riding at Metcalf, Hollister and other off-road areas. I am looking for fun rides on dirt or street, but not at a blistering pace.

What Scott R. is saying about this Meetup Group

This is a fun group to ride with. Relaxed riding removes the ego and competitive aspect from the mix. There is nothing wrong with a little ego and competitive spirit, just not so much on street group rides. Without exception, the people in this group are friendly and happy to accept new riders.
