FEMALE MEDICINAL CANNABIS PATIENT DENIED FAMILY FIREARM PURCHASE: LAWSUIT PENDING

Carson City, Nevada - The gun was to be her replacement for another .357 Magnum given previously to her Parents. However, the woman was denied the purchase on Tuesday afternoon, the 4th of October at Custom Firearms and Gun Smithing located in Mound House, Lyon county, Nevada. Question 11E of the ATF Firearms Transaction record, over-the-counter form 4473 asks “Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana, or any depressant, stimulant, or narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?” It was purposely left blank. Witnesses present affirm viewing her current Nevada State Medical Marijuana card when asked. The woman was a registered 2011 Nevada Legislative session non-profit lobbyist advocating for patients of medicinal cannabis. She previously testified on several bills regarding the medicinal use of cannabis including her experiences with elders, the disabled and those on hospice. She has purchased all firearms previously in Nevada and attended CCW courses in full compliance of the law(s). Sarah and her dog pictured, are known friendly to the gun shop owner.

The law firm of Rainey Devine filed suit against the federal government on her behalf. Small donations covering the costs may be made to the local Reno ACLU office http://preview.tinyurl.com/3deugn4

A Copy of the firearm purchase application denial page is attached in .pdf format. Any and all requests for contact and further information should be directed to the office of Chaz Rainey of Rainey Devine, Attorneys at law listed above.
