Let's write postcards to encourage Democrats to vote.

I have been writing for over a year. Mostly on my own. I think it would be fun to gather and do this together.

There are many special elections throughout 2019. Later this year 4 states elect their state legislatures. We have a chance to flip the Virginia state legislature Blue!

The event is from 4 to 8pm to allow some to come early and leave early and others can drop in after work. Come when you can and leave when you need to. I don't expect anyone to stay for the entire 4 hours -- except me!

I have a variety of blank and pre-printed postcards. I also have many markers and some washi. Postcards can be as fancy or plain as you like.

Donations of stamps or $$$ towards stamps would be very appreciated. I will have stamps on hand. That is the priciest part of this endeavor. (Even if you can't write with us, stamp donations would be very welcome.)

Food/drink: I'll have ice tea and water available. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks. We may decide to get food delivered. Whatever makes this easy and fun to do.

NOTE: We do have 1 cat. You'll probably never see her but it is important you know we have one. (If this is a problem for multiple people, we can explore meeting at another location like a coffee shop. Let me know if this is holding you back.)

I write postcards for #PostcardsToVoters at www.postcardstovoters.org. We write to registered Democrats to encourage them to vote in their elections. At times we also write to encourage people to register to Vote By Mail. Right now Florida is the focus of this #VMB campaign.

I can obtain addresses instantaneously. Feel free to drop in.

My address will be provided once you RSVP. Yes, I will accept last minute RSVP's. It helps me to plan to know approximate numbers in advance.

Here's hoping our group gets so big, we outgrow my space. Then we'll find a wine bar or coffee shop that will welcome us.
