How the stories we tell influence what we achieve
Terry Cooke-Davies has kindly accepted our invitation for what promises to be a very exciting and interesting conversation at 4pm on Thursday 27th June about his latest blog on the power of stories and their role in leading and managing projects.
In the ever-evolving landscape of project management and leadership, the power of storytelling emerges not just as a tool for engagement, but as a fundamental force that shapes our perceptions, decisions, and ultimately, our outcomes. Drawing upon insights from neuroscience, philosophy, and decades of experience in project management, Terry will delve into the transformative power of narratives in shaping our reality and the success of our projects.
Highlights will include:
• Embodied Mind & Its Impact: Explore how our minds, informed by our bodies and environments, transcend the traditional confines of cognition
• Predictive Power of the Brain: Understand how our brains use stories to predict and navigate the complexities of life and work
• Narratives in Project Management: Discover practical strategies for harnessing storytelling to foster team cohesion, customer satisfaction, and project success.
Terry's blog is not just a reflection but a call to action for leaders, consultants, and academics to rethink how we use stories to drive change, inspire action, and achieve our grandest visions and address the grand challenges facing us today.
