To mark the end of February, cull, bag, and label your formerly loved yarns, books, patterns, needles, etc and bring those items to our Yarn Swap. Do you have some yarn that should be put up for adoption? Are there books that have taken up residence and taking over precious real estate? If you didn't click with that skein, let someone else find a soft spot in their heart for it. To sweeten the deal, lovely Laura has gifted some of her mother's stash. Its needs a good home...and it can't stay at mine. DH and DS would have something to say about that! :)
Yarn must be clean, in good condition, and adoptable. Label the outside with brand/fiber and yardage (whatever you remember). It is suggest that a ball band be included if the yarn is wound. PLEASE NOTE if you have pets or smokers, so that sensitive folks are aware of this. Plastic ziplock bags are a good way to prepare yarn to group them. Multiple skeins/balls of one brand and color in each bag. If you have lots of partial skeins that can be used for afghan squares or sock yarn that can be combined, you can put those together in a kind of grab bag but please don't mix different weights. Needles and hooks should be marked by size. Books/patterns must be original, complete and in good condition – NO photocopies! Participants will pull a number for each contribution. It is suggested that you bring a bag to take away your stash replacements. Because we have an outside contributor, those who do not have anything to add to the swap will be allowed to select after contributors. There are several bags so everyone should go home with something if they are interested. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Note- Champs is located at the opposite end of Plaza America from Michaels. It is located just off Sunset Hills Road east of Reston Parkway (heading in the direction of Wiehle Ave.) Driving south along Reston Parkway heading away from the Town Center, turn left on Sunset Hills Rd. Make your 2nd right on to Plaza America Drive (you could also make your third right to enter Plaza America). Make a left at the 3 way stop. Champps will be on your right once you make the turn. Ask for the Reston Knitters There is open air parking right around the restaurant but parking immediately near the restaurant may be limited. Still there is ample parking in plaza overall. If you would like my cell phone, please email me and I'll be glad to send it to you. Looking forward to meeting you! Happy stitching :-)
