Happy 1st Birthday, Greens & Vines Raw Vegan Restaurant!

GREENS & VINES TURNS 1!

It is so rare in today's economy that a small business, especially a new restaurant, will make it to a year--let alone GROW! And the cards are stacked against HEALTHY restaurants. The food is more costly, mainstream doesn't always accept what's 'different' from the norm, etc. Greens & Vines does a wonderful job at providing healthy alternatives at a great price. Let's show them some support!

I wanted to extend Sylvia's and Bob's apologies for anyone who came out to show support and was turned away. They sold out at the last minute and were unable to get the word out. For them, that is AMAZING! Not so good for all the folks who were hoping to eat, especially some of you. Please do follow them on facebook. They have special events on a fairly regular basis. Their Cinco de Mayo buffet was very tasty! Last year, they also offered a take-home Thanksgiving meal. Preorders only and was picked up the Wednesday night before. We ordered just one serving to share with all of our friends at our Thanksgiving meal (some not vegan) and it was a big hit. We plan to get two servings this year if they do it again, to accompany what we are already doing. We have celebrated birthdays, graduations, wedding anniversaries, and used Greens and Vines as a place to Welcome new friends moving to the island. They have a great staff, wonderful owners, and a pleasant atmosphere.

*not Bob, Pete. Someone told me her husband's name was bob and it's not. It's Pete.

I don't know who is going for sure or if we were able to secure a table. This is last minute, but can those that are going for sure please reply and confirm reserved seating. If not, I will have to pass. I would rather not, but there are some appointments during the weekend that demand my attention as their health does as well. One Love.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing but I want to say that Tiffany is straight forward, highly intelligent, and sharing an opportunity to support a business that may encourage other businesses to follow suit. The truth is we live in a paradise island with fruits and edible plants aplenty, yet the biggest profitable businesses sell plate lunches, spam, and other junk that is damaging so much so quickly. $55 or even $65 is an INVESTMENT! It is an INVESTMENT into a business to continue marketing and improving services and goods catering to RAW VEGAN lifestyle! You don't support a business that supports your cause, then don't be surprised when the business closes, and we complain that the only "vegan" food is cooked tofu an the only "vegan friendly" markets sell "humanely raised grass fed" animal products. $65... break it down, that's $0.18 a day for an entire year to support an anniversary of a business that supports our interests and a Jazz Band and helping to connect others! One Love!

I would love to attend but $55 seems a bit high and unfortunately funds are currently tight. Does it always cost around $55 for this restaurant? Just wondering.

No this is a special event. $55 is a fair price for raw vegan non gmo buffet all you can eat. I understand funds are tight. We only eat out at blue tree and greens n vines and limit it to special events or occasions. Their special event menus are also different and more elaborate than their day to day menu. Hope you can check it out another time

No, as in no its not always $55. When we come to dine, our family of four usually orders two apps three entrees and four desserts and usually two beverages other than water and we walk away paying $120 or so

Anyone have an idea of what time they plan to go? I think we will go for around 1pm.

Any idea for this price if they are including a beer or two? I was amazed how good their small selection of Belgium beer is! :-)

no, don't think so. There is usually either water or a specialty tea included in the buffet. Seems like a lot up front, but you gotta think.. it's raw/vegan buffet--All you can eat.

I generally only say something when I have something positive to say. I ate there once; it was the worst meal I ever had. The service was terrible. I wrote in detail about my experience on YELP. I love vegetarian and raw food. I have been eating vegetarian for 40 years. So, this was not a new experience for me. Sorry, this is one place I can't support.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Thats not been our experience at all and we eat there about once a month-6wks. Our two girls age 3 n 8 love it too. I encourage you to 1-give it another shot. 2-address your concerns with sylvia the owner and give positive personal suggestions. 3-I ask you do not desuade others from trying it out. Everyone's palette is different as well as everyone's path and journey is in different places. I can't think of a healthier place to eat on this island. Sure there are other vegan options at many restaurants but not that are nearly all gmo free and all gluten free. So lets stay focused on the positives and not be so quick to write off a business that is taking steps to change the world
