Yoga For Cyclists 4 Week Series

An increasing number of athletes have discovered the benefits of yoga for their discipline. For cyclists, repetitive motion, rounded back and forward head and neck posture can cause neck, shoulder and lower back pain, tight and short hamstrings, hip flexors, calves and quads. This yoga series is designed to safely help cyclists achieve better posture and body awareness for more comfort while riding, address imbalances that can cause injury, speed up recovery time, build core power and strength, improve mental clarity and focus and improve breathing efficiency.
This workshop will cover:
A Vinyasa flow sequence to open hips, promote balance, strengthen core, and introduce body movement through all planes of direction
Learn some of the most beneficial poses for cyclists that can be done at home
Breath Awareness, learn to breath more efficiently
Restorative yoga using props to restore muscle length and release fascia
Meditation to focus the mind
This workshop is open to all levels, all degrees of stiffness, the serious or the fair-weather cyclists; everyone is welcome. No yoga experience is necessary. Come and join other health minded cyclists and see what yoga can do for your body and mind.
Jen Mast is an RYT 200. Jen is a lifelong athlete and cycling enthusiast. She has been working with all types athletes for the past 6 years and believes yoga is the perfect supplement to sports an exercise. Jen is an energetic and playful instructor. With a solid foundation in yoga anatomy and kinesiology, safety and proper alignment are at the very core of Jen’s classes.
