Let's meet up and share our writing with other writers.

  • This location is shown only to members

  • Bring up to ten (10) pages of your script project. (Scripts should be formatted in proper format) or up to five pages of your treatment (double spaced.)  Make enough copies to share, at least six (or more), and assign parts to other writers or actors who show up. The writer should not read.

Afterwards, there are three rounds of feedback. First is what we like about the piece, the second is constructive criticism. If possible give specific notes rather than broad generalizations. Keep it relevant to the piece written and your comments under two minutes. Don't feel you have to say something, in either round, if you don't have anything precise to say. In the interest of time (so we can read as many pieces as possible), we refrain from engaging in back and forth dialogue. During the third round the writer can ask questions or seek clarification from the readers about their work.

Some readers will mark up scripts with notes, copy edits, etc. All copies will be returned to you.

RSVP only if you are planning to attend. You do not have to bring a project, only a willingness to support fellow writers.  If we stay focused and on topic we can usually read 5 projects in two hours. First come, first served (but if we skip you one meeting you can read first at the next one.)

With validation, parking in the Farmer's market is free for two hours (but you must get your parking tickets validated by the stores in the Farmer's Market before they close at nine.) The lot on the North side - by the Container Store - usually has more parking spots.

The meters on Fairfax and 3rd are not enforced after 8 pm.
