The ALS Therapy Development Institute’s ALS Community ( http://www.als.net/als-community ) groups provide a space for people affected by ALS to come together in new ways. As a community we socialize, compare notes, learn about ALS resources, and share the ways in which ALS impacts our lives.
We are a group for people affected by ALS in Richmond. Our community includes patients, family, friends, caregivers, physicians, researchers, and drug development professionals. We determine the character, focus, and purpose of each ALS Community to drive our community forward.
The Richmond ALS Community encourages the continuous, two-way exchange of information between our local ALS Community and the wider ALS patient services, research, drug development, and healthcare worlds. People affected by ALS become knowledgeable, empowered community members able to address our individual needs. ALS Community events are hosted by the ALS Therapy Development Institute, the world’s foremost drug discovery lab focused solely on ALS research. Learn more at www.als.net ( http://www.als.net/ ).
