Richmond Golf Group Pages

The Richmond Golf Group is open to any serious adult golfer in the Richmond Metro area regardless of their ability or handicap.

The main goal of this group is to connect area golfers who do not have a regular group to play with and to play as much golf as possible.

While not a requirement to join in a golf outing please also consider joining and becoming a dues paying member of the Virginia Golfers Club (VGC), Richmond Chapter. It's not that expensive (annual dues are $75 or $81.75 for online payment) and allows us to continue to book affordable weekend tee times. To learn more about the VGC please visit: https://www.meetup.co...

If you would like to set up an outing please use the links below in the outing section to suggest an outing or drop Shane an email.

Any member can advertise their favorite charitable golf events, and recruit members to participate.

Activities of this group can include having a “Meetup” group lesson, a driving range social, a “Meetup” member tournament, a 9 & Dine after work, or a road trip golf outing.

All members are welcome to invite spouses and friends that are not members to participate in any planned activity unless otherwise noted. The success of this group depends on your involvement in it.

An "RSVP" of "Yes" to any activity acknowledges that you will be there, and that you will be "Expected". Usually a "Cut-Off" date will be given to adjust for any persons needing to cancel before the planned activity. However, when you "RSVP" 'Yes" it reserves a spot for you. Please be courteous to others and do not "RSVP" unless you are fairly certain you are going to be able to make it. Most of our activities require a certain amount of pre-planning. It does not matter if we are arranging tee times, or securing space to hold our activities. We all need to respect the time and effort that goes into planning a successful group activity.

When setting the RSVP for golf outings I will default the number of available spots to 12 (in most cases). This setup makes it easier for our organizers to book the times and to make sure we have full groups when we hit the course.
