What we're about

You don't need to be a voracious reader or have read the classics to enjoy our book club. We are a light-hearted group who like to socialize as well as find the time for a book a month. Come to laugh, share stories and make new friends!

How do we pick the books?

Each month we read a book from a different theme/genre. At the book discussion, a member will volunteer to select a genre that has not already been used this year. They will then select three books from within that genre and all the members will have a chance to vote for their favorite. The choices will be announced via email and the message board the Monday before the prior month's meetup.

All members have until the end of that week, to vote for their favorite using the Poll on the meetup site. We read the book that gets the most votes! The voting is anonymous and you can also change your vote. Once the poll closes the result will be emailed and also posted on the web.

This method of book selection ensures we read a variety of books and at the same time all the members get to be involved in each selection
