For Off Roaders Only Please. (at this time)
This is a "ATV", unless you have a "SxS" >*Riders Group.*<If you have no idea as to what either of those are, or already have a riding buddy then this probably isn't the group to join, but tell your single friend. You know the one.
You may want to include your mate preference just so no one get's confused.
Probably end up with some folks looking for a Sled or Dirt riding mate also. That's cool, we all need a riding buddy.
It's not really a "dating" sort of group. Datings a scary thing. Out riding don't give a lot of chat time.
Kicking it by a campfire can be the best way to get to know someone you'd like to kick it next to a campfire with. So take your time. May help prevent some disappointments on both sides.
More of a way to find someone that shares the love of getting out with their machine and maybe later finding a partner to do it with, if not at least you find some Riding friends that can eventually lead to something more substantial.
So it's pretty important as to what you ride and if need be, are willing to share.
Be it a Quad,,, what kind? Sport, Utility or Crossover, 1 or 2-up.
If it's a SxS, 2 or 4 pass.
If this sport is something you've only thought about and have never actually ridden, you might want to include that and just how dedicated you would be either way, think about it. This can be a expensive and sometimes dangerous pastime.
You might list your skill level and riding style. Sight seer, hard core racer, type of terrain you prefer.
I have a couple riding groups and I've made some fantastic friends. Most are married and or attached.
There are some of us though that aren't. Yes we are great friends but we're still looking for that Long Term Riding Buddy/Mate.
Someone that shares your idea's on getting out, when and where. Or just how. Some don't want to get cold, hot, dusty, muddy, wet or sandy. Sometimes it's a question of how long can you go without a real shower depending where you go. Camping on the trail don't always have the amenities of a trailer, coach or motel room. If you have any doubts, 30 or 40 miles from the closet pavement wouldn't be the best place to find out or change your mind.
Some couldn't care less about the weather and are prepared for whatever comes. Probably want to get that figured out up front.
A picture of you with your ride would be a good thing for your profile, takes a little guess work out of the equation. Your real first name is a requirement.
Hell, wear your helmet if you're afraid of showing your face, it'll still show who you are. We're kind of a special breed and know what we like.
I'll give this the 30 day trial run and see if it's worth the effort. If it looks like this may help a few of us out and you're willing to help keep it going with a donation to help pay for it I'd ask $5. Takes Around $90 to keep the site for 6 months. Do the math, if 9 coupes donate to the cause it's covered. It might take a while to get to know whether you actually found the one or not so don't get pushy.
I've never rode herd on my groups before. Good people meet good people, there was no reason too. The rest don't.
So I'll probably keep things pretty "ask the Organizer or Co-Organizer" as soon as I get someone or a couple people that can remain centered on the best for everyone.
We get more than we need then that can pay for a get together at some camp ground somewhere.
