Are you winning the battle within your mind?

Patience matters. Whether you are a parent, a teacher, a manager or anyone who deals with people, you need to know how to respond skillfully and peacefully to provocation. We will learn an inner technology called the four siddhis that will help us become more effective when others are angry, unreasonable or stubborn. These striking manifestations of wisdom are expressed in Buddhist art, ritual and practice. Becoming familiar with and practicing these methods will help us to become more peaceful with ourself and effective in dealing with others.

    Great class this week:-) Please try to remember to Recognize, Reduce, and Abandon any deluded states of mind such as anger, jealousy or resentment. Try to maintain mindfulness, alertness and consciousness in and out of meditation and notice the difference in your practice of patience.

    Tonight was my fourth time at this meeting and once again it didn't disappoint. I look forward to each week and find myself thinking about and using what I hear at the meditation during the week. It has made me so much more aware and a little less on auto pilot. The time goes so fast that I leave wanting more.
