What we're about

Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030.

This group is to connect all of our local hunger-fighters in the Philadelphia area and help find a way to keep growing our mission in the Philadelphia community! We are looking forward to meeting you!

Rise Against Hunger has an amazing program called LAUNCH that is working to create community gardens in Senegal! This program increases the availability of nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables by establishing community gardens at hospitals and supporting participants to set up their own home gardens. In addition to the nutritional benefits, the garden produce is in demand on local markets and can generate income in a short period.

We need your help to ensure the success of the LAUNCH initiative!:

• Your gift of $20 can provide the seeds and tools needed to plant a home garden

• Your gift of $25 can provide seeds for an entire community garden!

No gift is too small to make an impact! Your donation supporting our agriculture initiative in Senegal is a powerful catalyst toward a more sustainable future.

10th Anniversary Community Meal Packaging Event

108 Darby Commons Ct

Join us as we celebrate our 10 years in the Philadelphia area by packaging meals as a community! We're raising money to package as many meals as possible in celebration of the global impact we've had as a community - the more we raise, the more we will package, so sign up to join us! There are currently 2, two hour shifts from 9-11am and from 1-3pm, feel free to sign up for one or both! Please click on this link, or copy and paste into your browser to sign up for our community meal packaging event. https://rah.secure.force.com/events/homepage?id=7013Z000002zrm0QAA We are hoping to package as many meals as possible, so we are asking for you to make a donation to cover the cost of the meals you will be packaging during your shift. One person will package about 125 meals in the hour which amounts to about a $35 donation, or you could consider donating a full box for $75 - this full box can feed one child for an entire school year! As more volunteers register, we will open more packaging shifts, so feel free to tell your friends!
