Edward Black - In his current role, Ed is responsible for new product development in Barclays Payments, working closely with the fin-tech community to combine Barclays’ power and scale with the agile, product innovation being driven by entrepreneurial start-ups. Ed and his team manage a wide range of NPD opportunities spanning both ‘making’ and ‘taking’ payments and covering the full spectrum of business customers from small micro-merchants to large multi-national corporates. Ed’s team have immersed themselves in the London fin-tech world by locating themselves in the Barclays’ Rise building in Shoreditch.
Michael Pearce - Michael has worked closely with the Citi Ventures organisation over the last few years whilst at Citibank. He developed and delivered training courses aimed at the internal entrepreneur, in any area, to apply modern methodologies to solving the problems they faced every day. He helped functions focus on the use of data and digital solutions and how an understanding of the end to end process can deliver significant productivity gains throughout the organisation. Michael is a Financial leader with over 3 decades’ global experience within a variety of financial institutions with global reach and a strong knowledge of the African market.
Mike Baliman - Mike is an expert on Entrepreneurial Governance - how to make your board an engine of Growth - as well as Board Advisor and Non-executive Director. He has almost 40yrs in FS at senior levels, has been immersed in the startup and scaleup worlds for a decade, formed his own Fintech in 1998 and is founder and host of the longest-running European Fintech Podcast - the London Fintech Podcast. He researched entrepreneurial governance by interviewing some 80 unlisted Board members, principally Founders but also Chairmen, Angels, NEDs, VCs and so forth.
Richard Leslie - CEO & Co-Founder at The Sourcing Hub. Having worked in software development for over 20 years for startups and enterprises, on both client side and services provider, Richard can provide practical advice on the best way for your company to address its scaling challenges, specifically around software development: whether that’s looking at the key rules for making internal hires; working with the contractor market; or engaging with an external partner. Richard can advise on the pros and cons of each option.
Stacy Kim - Stacy Kim is a leading American cross-border technology lawyer, strategic business advisor, and a co-founding partner of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati's London office.
Leveraging her unique experience as a trusted advisor to high-growth U.S., UK, and other European companies and as an in-house advisor at a fast-paced U.S. technology company.
