We will be talking about Chapter Nine: Rumbling with Shame, Perfectionism, Blame and Accountability

"If our story includes shame, perfectionism, or comparison and we're left feeling isolated or "less than," we need to employ two completely counterintuitive strategies." (p. 194)

"Accountability is holding ourselves or someone else responsible for specific actions and their specific consequences." "Accountability is a prerequisite for strong relationships and cultures. It requires authenticity, action & the courage to apologize and make amends. It also requires vulnerability." (pg 199, 200)

We will be exploring Brené Brown's work and the Rising Strong process. This is time to meet others that are reading her books and applying the Rising Strong practice in their lives.

We are not therapists and this is not a therapy group. Just a bunch of brave people getting together to tell our stories.
