What we're about

This group will meet to practice in the Plum Village Tradition (Thich Nhat Hanh) of Buddhism. Practice will focus on seated and walking meditation, guided meditation, and Dharma discussion. We hope that the practice and scope will grow with interest and time. This group is available for everyone. No meditation experience is necessary and one does not have to "be a buddhist" to benefit from the practice and community.

Gentle Yoga (Virtual)

Online event

Greetings! Did you know that the practice of yoga can help to reset and rebalance us, bringing us back to our true & calm selves? Please join me in a virtual (Zoom hosted) Gentle Yoga Class- all levels of experience and all bodies are welcomed. Previous experience with yoga is not required to benefit from this slow-paced, beginner friendly yoga class. The intention of this class is to move mindfully, cultivate body awareness, and help to bring calmness to the body and mind. Donations are welcomed, pay what you can :) Equipment needed: a yoga mat and your body! (Though not required, if you have yoga blocks, a strap, and a bolster or large, firm pillow, I highly recommend having those available to you during class as well) Class will be around 60 minutes long, ending in a restful Savasana (reclined on our backs). I will be guiding us all through a series of gentle and basic postures/movements that will help us work through muscular tension, calm the mind, and keep our energies flowing through the body. Informed by a Mindfulness approach, I encourage all my students to prioritize safety, mind/body connection, and curiosity over fitting into any shape or pose. This yoga is a practice for yourself; we do the yoga to come home to the body, without judgement or comparison. I hope to see and move with you in class, yogi! 💕 *Donations are welcomed, pay what you can :)
