River River board members and published authors Julie M. Goldberg and Rebecca Watkins offer advice and tools for getting published.
This is a workshop for anyone who is ready to send their writing out to get published and isn't sure how and where to start. Julie and Rebecca will share their experience with the submission and publishing process for both prose and poetry. They will discuss and offer advice on the mindset and the tools needed to take the first steps in publishing your work.

Julie M. Goldberg is a writer, reader, teacher, librarian, contrarian, writing coach, mother, and wife. Her fiction and essays have appeared in The Establishment, Dual Coast Magazine, The Manhattanville Review, River River Journal, Mothers Always Write, WomenArts Quarterly Journal, and Magnificent Nose. She is also a prose editor for River River Journal.
Rebecca Watkins (Sometimes, In These Places, Unsolicited Press, 2017) earned an M.F.A. in Poetry from the City College of New York and has been teaching writing and English as a Second Language at the college level for eight years in the Greater New York area. She is an editor for River River Journal. Her work has been published in The Promethean, The Red Mesa Review, Poetry and Performance, Anderbo, the SNReview and elsewhere.
