Are you interested in an inclusive, all-ability, gentle yoga class? A class where it’s not necessary to get down to or up from the floor? If so, then consider practicing chair yoga with us! Chair yoga is a gentle, accessible form of yoga that links the breath with movements supported by a chair. It's a wonderful way to stretch your body, relieve tension and relax from head to toe in a comfortable seated position.

Community Yoga Initiative organizes FREE community yoga classes and group meditations! Wednesday, May 15th we are facilitating a chair yoga and meditation meet up from 5:00pm-5:45pm in Smith Hall at All Saints’ Episcopal Church (3847 Terracina Drive, Riverside CA 92501).

This class works with your body (not against it) offering the gentle stretching of connective tissue with the support of a chair. The class concludes with a 5 minute meditation. The combination of gentle stretching and meditation can be very mind soothing and heart opening, and may help to increase inner calmness, gratitude and contentment.

Being able to move into and out of a chair is basic physical requirement for the yoga postures in this class. No experience is necessary and there is never a cost.

Comfortable layered clothing is recommended.

Please remove shoes and silence all electronics upon entering the yoga and meditation space.

Plenty of free parking is available in the church parking lot and streets nearby. Please do not park in church parking lot space labeled "church parking only."
