Hello Roanoke and welcome to the many health benefits of Laughter Yoga!

Certified Laughter Yoga Leaders Bill Baker and Kyle Edgell introduce therapeutic humor and offer laughter yoga on first Monday's in their Laughter Lab meet-ups.

Laughter Yoga is an aerobic workout - a combination of laughter exercises, deep yogic breathing exercises (no yoga poses) and mindfulness meditation. Cardiologist Dr. Madan Kataria, developed this unique type of laughter wellness program in 1995 to help reduce stress.

Laughter Yoga is practiced in over 105 countries and at 6000+ laughter clubs. Medical professionals, social workers, teachers, counselors, wellness coaches, yoga instructors, cancer groups, combat vets, at risk groups, corporations and private organizations use Laughter Yoga to promote wellness of body, mind and spirit.

About Roanoke Laughter Lab Organizers+

Jollyologist Bill Baker is writing a book, Jollyology 101, and is a Klown with the Kazim Shriners. Formerly Dean of Students at the University of Richmond, he is a retired US NAVY Captain. He has been researching laughter and its impact since 1994, when he was run over by a jet ski and almost died from a traumatic brain injury. After years of depression, physical and mental damage, he heard about Norman Cousin's healing experience through humor, and started reading jokes, watching re-runs of the M.A.S.H sitcom, and movie comedies and he laughed. "Laughter saved my life." In researching for the book, he discovered Laughter Yoga. He recently attended the Laughter Yoga Summit in NY, where he studied with the founder of Laughter Yoga Dr Kataria.

Kyle Edgell is a full-time Humorist speaker, Laughter Yoga Leader and Caricature artist/entertainer who studies therapeutic humor and equips others to be intentional about how to apply therapeutic humor into their wellness programs and daily life. www.kyleedgell.com (http://www.kyleedgell.com/)
