Indoor Rock Climbing in Mira Mesa at "Mesa Rim"
(beginners or experienced climbers)
Mesa Rim is the best indoor climbing facility in San Diego and has very nice facilities, including a huge bouldering area, padded floors, exercise equipment, and 55 ft HIGH WALLS!
*** Mesa Rim requires you to take a belay lesson. If you do not know how to tie in with a figure-8 knot and use an ATC or Grigri with the proper hand-over-hand technique you will need the belay lesson.
*** Please call Mesa Rim at 858-201-4411 and reserve a spot for a belay lesson. Lessons are available at 5 pm or 7 pm.
*** If you need to take the belay lesson, it will cost $23 for entrance & lesson-but the lesson is good for whenever you return to Mesa Rim. The cost for those who have climbed at Mesa Rim before is $15 if you mention you are with the Meetup Group (& you bring your own equipment). You must be on the Meetup RSVP list to receive the discount.
***If you need shoes or a climbing harness, their rental rates are:
Shoes $5, Harness $3, Chalk Bag $1, Belay Device (ATC or GriGri) $2
Gear package (shoes, harness, chalk bag, and belay device) $6
***Oh Yeah, we usually go to "Best Pizza & Brew" down the street for drinks & dinner after the climb.
*Any questions, call Mesa Rim or send me an email through Meetup.
