What we're about

Do you feel bombarded with religion and want to have an alternative social outlet to the churches? Do you seek the companionship and warmth of friends who can accept your rational outlook on life, devoid of any spirituality?

If so, please join this meetup for a meeting of the minds and coffee at Amelie's. The standard time will be 2 PM the second Sunday of each month at Amelie's on Main street in Rock Hill.

We will also have other "fun" activities consistent with the Season, and weather permitting.

Upcoming events (5+)

Tuesday Evening Bowling at Strikers Bowling Alley in Rock Hill.

Strikers Family Sports Center

Tuesday night Strikers has a $6.50 special which includes 3 games and your shoe rental! ( I reserved two lanes under my name (Allan Worrell) which can accommodate as many as 12 people, six per lane. ) Let's meet at 6:30 PM at the Concessions stand for a quick bite before we get our shoes and begin bowling at 7:00 PM.... We will divide our group into two teams, and hopefully we can get two lanes side by side. Each game should take about an hour, so we should end by 10:00 PM. If we have a good turnout I will repeat this event once a month! Let's have some fun together and Knock 'em Dead !!! ( BTW, you don't have to be a dynamite bowler to have fun. I will have a good night if I break 100 pins in any one game! )

Atheist Coffee at Amelie's on Main Street in Rock Hill.

Amélie's French Bakery & Café | Rock Hill

Get your drink and meet upstairs! 1) We will each go around the table and briefly tell about how we became an Atheist, Agnostic or Skeptic! (I actually met Madalyn Marie O'Hare who was the founder of the American Atheists Organization.) 2) Bring a Science, Newspaper or Magazine article that you would like to share with the group! This can be a "Show and Tell". 3) Also, think ahead of time about what you might like to do with the Atheist Group and let us all know! We can plan new events or outings as our membership grows. 4) Did you know the Charlotte Atheists and Agnostics have almost 2,000 members!!! That's fantastic! I think we might join them for any of their big events! (We might car pool together if it is far away.)
