What we're about

Rock hound, N Phoenix, N Scottsdale, Carefree, Cave Creek, Anthem:

Please become a member of the club to join our field trips and events & meet like minded friends with great adventurous experiences finding your own treasures, pot lucks, holiday parties, etc. You do not need to be a member to join us at our our shows & very informative meetings that we have once a month in Anthem.

Located in Anthem, Arizona (approx. 34 miles north of downtown Phoenix off of I-17), the purpose of Daisy Mountain Rock & Mineral Club is to promote and further an interest in Geology, Mineralogy, and lapidary arts, through education, field trips, 4x4 road trips, experiences finding our own treasures on open and wild BLM land, public service and friendship and FUN!

Beginning in 2010, Daisy Mountain Rock & Mineral Club was organized as a non-profit corporation to further the interest and educate the public in the many geological features of the terrain located in the mid-deserts located around Phoenix, Arizona.

Our founders, geologists and educators Herb Jacobson, Edward Winbourne, Keith Martin and Jay Yett were joined by "rock-hounds" Dan Janko, Edward Winbourne and Joan Jamtass in 2009 to create a non-profit corporation dedicated to sharing their knowledge and experience in geological formations.
