I'm not mobile enough to rockhound, yet!
Novice, I guess, I understand some stuff, but didn't get broad enough info in school to understand the chemical structures. As they said in "The Blues Brothers" it's never too late to mend your ways!
Rock Buying, I'm a big character, so my mobility is currently limited.
Since childhood. I grew up in a town with a coal breaker for anthracite coal. Also, as kids we hiked an old railroad bed where we found cast off core drill samples from a waste water treatment plant soon to be built in our town. Also, my Grandma's house had lots of quartz & slabs of blue-stone. As kids we built a Flintstone's house & almost got bit by a coral snake!
Sykesville, I use to know a guy that owned a body shop by the biker bar on Route#1 & like coming down Montgomery Road to Lawyer's Hill Road & a quick hop over River Road to G&M for a treat!
I like doing jewelry & chainmaille fabrication. I was active in PLG of Annapolis, but I lost my transportation & it was too far in a borrowed vehicle. I enjoy learning new stuff. As a kid I collected rocks, but there's so much to know now!
