Lets’ ease back into the woods on this mild spring day! The snow is finally melting so come prepared with your weather resistant and or water proof hiking shoes or boots! Bring water, bugspray and sunscreen are back in season too! Come see whats’ blooming!
This will be about a 1 1/2- 2 hour fairly easy hike at a steady pace with breaks to enjoy the views. There will be several moderate inclines. We will hike around the lower pond then head up to McMillan Reservoir (the favorite swimming spot for our 4 legged friends!) where we will take a short break. If the dam is not overflowing we may cross over to get a view from the other side of the reservoir, from the large rock outcropping, then backtrack and investigate the lower trail along the Mahwah tributary that parallels Rt 202. Lets get warmed up for the spring hiking season!!!
DIRECTIONS TO THE PARK::
