Here is one sight with some history about the Foxcroft Mansion for our history enthusiasts! Enjoy. http://www.sitesofnj.com/New_Jersey/Bergen_County/Van_Slyke_Castle/Web_Pages/Van-Slyke-Castle.html

While the clouds may have been overcast.. the spirits of the intrepid adventurers was sunny. The white water rapids in the stream due to recent rains was a joy to behold. Imagining the old ruins as they must have been in their prime was inspiring. Thank you Susan for another adventure.

A good little workout with stunning views, waterfalls and a running stream for a change, all enjoyed with good company.

Easy to follow trails, lots of rocks to step over and around. Running white water streams due to the recent heavy rains. I would rate this a moderate hike, as titled.

With the rain we've had, the stream could possibly be high so bring an extra pair of socks along with a plastic bag to put them in, just in case.
