About You: Probably a couple years out of undergrad, looking to make Maryland feel a bit smaller. You see awesome shindigs going on around the area, you think shit, this looks awesome, but then guess what- it's in Arlington, and nobody wants to make that trip for a movie. You're over the happy hour scene, it's cool now and then but you're looking to do something a bit more... tight-knit. You're looking for something to spice up the work-week or weekend, and meet other young people along the way.
About Us: We believe there's plenty to do without fighting 495 for people like us, so we're all about making some moves and getting things happening- hopefully without breaking the bank. We're about exploring, meeting new people, and maybe learning something new along the way.
The Deets
-We welcome millennial of all backgrounds, beliefs, personalities, houses of Hogwarts and the Seven Kingdoms.
-While we welcome people in their 20's that live outside of the Rockville area, most of the events setup will be along 270, somewhere between 495 and 200.
-A little out of your 20's? Not a problem, there isn't a necessarily a hard limit here, but we highly suggest that folks beyond say 32 look elsewhere.
-When it makes sense, we'll each pay our own way at events- makes things easier that way.
-First timer on Meetup? No worries, we feel your pain. It's hard to show up somewhere and not know who in this packed-as-hell spot to look for, so for our events we try to have decent signage (look for the Meetup logo) and clear details on where we'll meet ahead of time.
-Members will need to have a real photo linked to their account, a complete first name and at least last initial, provide actual answers to the entry questions, and be clearly in the applicable age range. Applicants without those will be denied.
