About You: Probably a couple years out of undergrad, looking to make Maryland feel a bit smaller. You see this awesome shindigs going on around DC, you think man, this looks awesome, but then guess what- it's in Alexandria, and nobody wants to make that trip for a movie. You're sorta over the bar scene, it's cool now and then but you're looking to do something a bit more adventurous and maybe a bit more tight-knit. You're looking for something to spice up the work-week or weekend, and meet others along the way.
About Us: We believe there's plenty to do without fighting 495 for young-ish people like us, so we're all about making some moves and getting things happening- hopefully without breaking the bank. We're about exploring, meeting new people, and maybe learning something new along the way.
-We welcome millennial of all backgrounds, beliefs, personalities, and houses of Hogwarts and the Seven Kingdoms.
-While we welcome people in their 20's that live outside of the Rockville area, most of the events setup will be along 270, somewhere between 495 and 200.
-A little out of your 20's? Not a problem, there isn't a necessarily a hard limit here, but we highly suggest that folks beyond their 20's look elsewhere.
-When it makes sense, we'll each pay our own way at events- makes things easier that way.
-First timer on Meetup? No worries, we feel your pain. It's hard to show up somewhere and not know who in this packed-as-hell spot to look for, so for our events we try to have decent signage (look for the Meetup logo) and clear details on where we'll meet ahead of time.
-Members will need to have a real photo linked to their account, a complete first name and at least last initial, provide actual answers to the entry questions, and be clearly in the applicable age range. Applicants without those will be denied.
Who doesn't like trivia!? And booze! (I don't drink so no worries if you only like one of those).
We'll aim to get a table for the group, meet one another, and test our awesome trivia skills after work. Trivia will likely take about 2 hours, and it's normally a team effort- so we'd love to have everyone from trivia newbies to trivia pros.
Trivia starts at 7, so aim to get there a little before then, mainly so we can commandeer the biggest table. Note that 7 Locks doesn't serve food, but they'll have a food truck outside, or you can bring something else in.
Monster Mini Golf - Indoor Golf, Arcade, Virtual Reality, Bowling and Lazer
What better way to celebrate the (almost) end of the year than with Mini golf! It's just like the mini golf you remember as a kid, only inside (thankfully) and glow in the dark!
For folks that went Laser Tagging a few weeks back, this will be pretty similar- arrive around 7pm, we'll buy our tickets there, and be on our way to play a few rounds. On a Tuesday night it shouldn't be super busy.
We may grab drinks afterwards, but I'd definitely recommend eating beforehand.
Also this will likely be our last event of 2019, as the holiday season tends to be bonkers for folks calendar wise.
