I’m excited to announce that the Boulder Synthesizer Meetup turns 1 in July!!! To celebrate we’re throwing a BBQ bash, Jam, and Petting Zoo. Instead of the usual 2nd Tuesday we’ll be having July meetup on Saturday July 6th.
Mike Bryant who lives near the Old Louisville Inn has graciously offered the use of his house for the meetup! This being the case we'll need your help bringing some items and coordinating gear so read items below carefully.
What to Bring Foodwise:
Mike will supply the grill. He's also planning serving a slow-cooking a brisket he'll start the day before. Mark will supply paper plates, forks, napkins Bring your own food to grill or eat, and drink If you think you want to bring extra food to items to share potluck-style please leave a comment below this announcement on the meetup site so you can coordinate what your bringing (although bringing something extra is not required) Pool and Chairs:
Mike has an outdoor pool, so if you want to take a dip, bring a bathing suit and towel Mike won't have enough seating for everyone so consider bringing a camp or folding chair What to Bring for Jam and Petting Zoo:
We’ll take over Mike’s basement and possibly another room or two for a combined casual jam and petting zoo. We’ll have a 24-channel board and speakers for the jam courtesy of Rick Reid.
Whether your bringing gear for the jam or petting zoo, please limit your rig to one or two pieces that are not ginormous so we don’t overwhelm the room. Bring all cables and power strips you need to plug-into a single plug on a power strip. Each person will get a stereo pair 1/4 input on the board for the jam. In other words, bring a little sub-mixer if you have more than two outs. We'll have two DJ size tables on hand, so if your bringing a keyboard consider bringing an X-Stand. Better to err on the side of more tables and stands and if we don't need them you can leave them in the car. If you bring gear for the petting zoo bring headphones so you won’t be competing with the jam PA. What Not to Bring: Pets. Sorry, please leave your pets at home. Mike already has 2 wiener dogs and a cat and he says "No additional chaos necessary" :^)
Parking: Feel free to park in the front or back driveways if spaces are available. Street parking can also be found nearby.
