• WebAuthn (Jamie Perkins)

A new web API is here! WebAuthn is public key authentication for the web. It’s a super secure way to log your users in, and the best part? It’s passwordless. But although it’s incredibly simple for the user, it’s a complex flow that requires understanding new terminology and processes to implement. In this lightning talk, get a foundational understanding of WebAuthn and how to implement it.

Jamie is a senior front-end developer with a passion for the open web. He maintains several popular open source javascript libraries and loves building UIs. When he’s not spending time with his family, he’s bootstrapping his latest hair-brained scheme.

• Angular component for 3D WebGL2 graphics (Mark Deazley)

A short discussion on producing an Angular component for 3D WebGL2 graphics using the BabylonJS library, and the general issues around publishing OSS for Angular.

(And a plea for help getting this onto the NPM public repository.)

Mark is celebrating 4 Decades of SW: My first software job was in Nov 1979. Made $160 for writing some 6502 assembly code. Now I have an i9-9900K... It is a tad faster.

• Angular and the Internet (Steve Witman)

A brief look back at the timeline of significant internet milestones and how the emergence of AngularJS through Angular 8 fits into this timeline.

Steve is front-end developer at BrieBug specializing in Angular. He also spends time building side projects using Angular, Ionic and Firebase as well as getting out to ski and mountain bike.
