To the Editor,

We at the Cindy Sheehan for Congress Campaign have been sent many e-mails today from concerned citizens stating that there is a rumor that Cindy has endorsed Ron Paul for President. Below is Cindy's response to the rumor. We would appreciate it if you would post Cindy's statement.

Subject: Who I endorse for President

Although I admire Dr. Ron Paul's stance against the occupations of the criminal Bush regime, (Only Barbara Lee D-Ca has been better); and I, of course, agree with him when he says bring the troops home immediately and close almost all military bases around the world, there are too many other fundamental differences I have with him. Ron Paul is after all a very conservative Libertarian/Republican who is anti-choice and against single-payer health care, among other things.

I do like Dennis Kucinich and hope he wins the Democratic nomination and hope that if he doesn't he won't endorse another war monger.

I am holding out hope against hope that Cynthia McKinney runs and I will give her my whole-hearted support and endorsement. She is the only one who has been courageous enough to endorse me. Kucinich has endorsed the incumbent Democrat over me.

I hope this clears up any confusion that I endorsed Ron Paul.

As for Ron Paul supporters who are mostly Republicans who want to help with my campaign, I don't see how that is a bad thing. I am an Independent and even though I am a raging progressive, I believe that we need to work together to force a withdrawal of our troops and an end to the murderous empire that enslaves us all. If we would all celebrate what we have in common and work together for a consensus on what separates us, or at least respect for a divergence of opinions, the world would be enriched and a far better place.

Wouldn't it be nice if we did have a "Uniter" and not a "Divider."

Peace, love, justice, joy, and Victory

raging progressive = socialist?

Recently, I became disallusioned about the misrepresentations you made about Ron Paul in your recent statement.

First, Ron Paul is not "anti-choice" as you say. Rather, Dr. Paul is a federalist who believes in local control and San Francisco will never make abortion illegal (at least not any time soon).

Second, as a doctor, Ron Paul believes that free markets work much better than socialism and that does not make him such an antagonist to failed ideas but rather it makes him an advocate for affordable healthcare. While you expect government to make even more healthcare decisions, government already accounts for 44% of healthcare expenses, costs keep going up and meanwhile we are stuck with trillions of unsustainable debt.

Bravo. Cindy is looking for the uniter? Well she just doesn't recognise Ron, yet. Good show with the eyeopening reply.

he is fervently anti-choice
but i know what you mean about leaving it to states.
i think free markets don't work
i am for single payer health care
there are too many of us that are sick because we can't afford to go to the doctor.

i know all about ron i said, i like his positions about war and imperialism, but his economic programs are inhumane.

that is my opinion, obviously you don't agree.
i don't agree with you.
