UPDATED INFO (PLEASE READ):
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PRACTICE WITH THE GROUP PLEASE MEET AT THE CORNER OF H STREET AND 33RD STREET AT 8:30AM (near the Rose Garden) and walk over to the event together. I will be volunteering so I may not be able to meet up with you guys there. Someone can please call me when you set down your mats and I will come over and place a meetup sign by everyone for anyone who arrives late and wants to practice with our group. We have a lot of people coming so hopefully we can all find each other. I will email my cell phone number to everyone in case you can't find us. I will be wearing pink pants and a black Yoga Across America tank top.
This is an awesome event held annually in Sacramento. You will not want to miss this!! We expect about 200 people to be practicing yoga at this event. We will complete 108 yoga sun salutations. If you can't do them all, you can just do what you can. No yoga experience is needed and ALL are welcome to attend!! Bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. Some extra yoga mats will be available for those that don't have their own. This is a free event and you can donate to Yoga Across America if you want to. I will email my cell phone number to participants the day before so that you can find us.
I hope to see you there!
Yoga Across America Challenge
Annual Fundraising Event
108 Sun Salutations
Event Location: McKinley Park
Right in the heart of where it all began, Yoga Across America is thrilled to be hosting it's very own Yoga Across America challenge on September 14, 2013 at 9am at McKinley Park.
It was just a few years ago that yoga in the park began with 5 people rolling out their mats, and now? Hundereds of yogi's come together each week to share in this practice.
C'mon Sacramento, lets show the rest of the nation just why yoga across america is such a beautiful, impactful, authentic organization that brings yoga to soldiers, schools, food-banks, hospitals, and so many worth-while places. The greater we can create this challenge to be and collaborate, the more we can continue to grow our programs across the nation.
What is the YAA Challenge?
The YAA Challenge represents the beautiful action of yogis across the country practicing together on the same date in different locations across the US. This is a chance for all of us to connect through this wonderful practice, and support sharing the gift of yoga in underserved areas. It all comes together on September 14th at 9am.
100% of the donations we raise on this monumental day will go right back into our programs that help us to share yoga with veterans, cancer survivors, food banks, high schools and more. The donations raised from this event will support our growth and our mission - Yoga for Everyone, Everywhere.
