Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is a food bank that works with a network of food pantries and meal programs to distribute more than 18 million meals a year to nearly 400,000 people in eastern Wisconsin.
We'll be helping our sponsor Rotary Club sort and pack food in the warehouse that will be distributed to the hunger relief groups that Feeding America serves. This is one of our favorite annual volunteer events- you don't want to miss it!
The mission of Hope House is to end homelessness and create healthy communities.
Our vision is a community that houses and values all of its people.
What We'll Be Doing:
We'll be walking community members through the pantry, restocking the shelves with food, hanging up clothes/going through donations, and any other tasks given by the supervisor that day.
You've heard about it, you've seen it on social media, and you've probably seen your friends do it. Now's the time to try it for yourself with Rotaract!
Join us as we spend a few hours throwing axes and drinking beer. It's $30pp so please RSVP to MeetUp and mean it! We are reserving the spots and you can pay when you get there. If we get enough people we can reserve two lanes :)
Please wear close toed shoes and bring your ID.
On the Table MKE was introduced by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation
in 2017 as a forum for building relationships, generating ideas through
respectful dialogue and putting those ideas in motion for the benefit of
Although it takes place on a single day, On the Table MKE is much more
than a single event. It consists of hundreds of small, independently
organized gatherings where people share a meal and talk about topics
that matter in their lives and communities. Anyone can host a table
– as an individual or through a group/organization – and bring others
together for collective impact.
As convener for the initiative, the Foundation provides the registration
infrastructure, support materials and guidance to make each experience
as successful as possible, in addition to sharing knowledge and
outcomes that surface through the community’s effort. Community ideas
help inform the Foundation’s philanthropy.
Rotaract Milwaukee will be having an open conversation about Milwaukee and how we'd like to see our community grow.
Food and beverage is available for purchase at Tribeca. Please join us for some good food, drinks, and conversation.
"O'zapft is!" - "It's tapped!"
Come and celebrate the season of 'Gemütlichkeit' with your fellow Rotaractors or make new friends at the 9th annual Milwaukee Oktoberfest! Enjoy German delicious food (pretzel and bratwurst - yummy!), Bier (You can't have brats without beer!) and great conversations while listening (or swaying) to live polka music.
This is the first event taking place on the plaza right outside of the Fiserv.Forum’s main entrance on the east side of the building, after it's Grand Opening Party. The Friday activities will include a Ceremonial Keg Tapping and a Stein Hoisting Competition. Do not miss the fun!
The Ceremonial Keg Tapping with free Spaten Bier will take place at 5pm, shortly after which we will meet at the Bucks' logo sculpture (North-Eastern corner of the Fiserv.Forum, see picture below) at 5.30pm. Look out for us in grey Rotaract t-shirts. Post below or send me (Polina Wenig) a message through the Meetup page, should you not find us or join us later.
We are looking forward to toasting 'Prost!' together with you soon!
"Auf Wiedersehen und bis bald!"
Help set up for the half day conference. (You can come for set up or the whole conference). Shirts will be provided. This statewide conference helps inform all stakeholders about the effects human trafficking has college students.
Milwaukee has become a major hub for human trafficking but it is often an epidemic that hides in plain sight. Learn more about how it affects our communities and help to support the local efforts to support those who have been affected.
The CRC is a 501 (c ) 3 faith-based, community service organization providing client focused, trauma informed care including education and training for community organizations and service providers.
