Join the global movement of young leaders who are developing innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges...
The Rotaract Club of Milwaukee is a social group focused on connecting people - to become better leaders, meet new friends, and to volunteer in communities in Milwaukee and elsewhere. We're one of many clubs around the world affiliated with Rotary International: a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change.
If you're interested in volunteering in your community, getting to know different cultures and people from all over the world, developing your professional and personal skills, and having fun...then come and join Rotaract Milwaukee!
**By the way, there is more to our group than what you see here on Meetup! Ask one of our organizers for more information about our New Member Process at the next event you attend as a guest! Inducted members enjoy perks including invitation to events with our sponsor club, the Rotary Club of Milwaukee.**
**Some of our event information (including photos) & member reviews may also appear on our club website: rotaractmilwaukee.org. By joining this group, you agree & authorize the Rotaract Club of Milwaukee to use the information you provide to us via Meetup on our website or other social media profiles**
Hubbard Park's beer garden in Shorewood recently reopened, with requirements for social distancing (limited seating, spacing requirements). If you feel comfortable to, feel free to join us for a Monday happy hour among the trees. Weather permitting of course.

In April and May, our club dedicated a week each for supporting restaurants on the North and then the South-side communities of Milwaukee. In light of recent news and tragedy in our country, we would like to draw attention to another subset of the community in Milwaukee who are in need of support during these times: Black-owned businesses.
The website and app mkeblack.org lists many good examples of Milwaukee businesses owned my African Americans - particularly restaurants - which are located all over the city.
For at at least one day during the week of June 15th, we encourage you to support one of these businesses and share photos (here or elsewhere on social media @rotaractmke) so people in our city and in your network may know about them. To help each other know where to go and who's participating we have created this spreadsheet:
Participating is totally up to you, like with our "Takeout Week" events. Like with those events, this Event is a placeholder (we won't gather at the posted time). Please take care, as always.
