What we're about

Hey there, woodworkers. Are you out there in Royal Oak MeetUp Land? Would you like to meet to share ideas plans, skills and techniques about woodworking? If so, I invite you to join me and like minded woodworkers at monthly meetings to talk and learn about things such as setting up a shop, safe use of power tools and woodworking machines, joinery techniques, designing and building furniture or making a wooden canoe. There will be opportunities to network with other woodworkers - both experienced and beginners, and to find out what works and what doesn't. Finally, you will be able to get answers to your perplexing project questions. The only requirement to join the fun is motivation to learn (and share) woodworking knowledge. Both beginning and experienced woodworkers are welcome! I will be the group leader am an experienced woodworker, focused on making small furniture and wooden canoes and sailboats. More information to come later.

A great opportunity to join other woodworkers in a club oriented on woodworking only, will always be available to each member of this Meetup Group. I am a member of the Michigan Woodworkers' Guild and can tell you all about it. When their new website is up and running our group site will be linked into it. The benefits are many and the cost is only $25 per year, the best leisure time activity value around. Ann Ivory is the membership director and can be reached via email at TIvory@twmi.rr.com. Contact her for more complete information about the Guild.
