Jaime Bellmyer will be presenting at our October meeting on the following topics:
Processing in Bulk with Enumerables:
- Aggregation - taking lots of little things and condensing them down to a few useful data points.
- Sorting - knowing the difference between sort and sort_by can give you a strong performance boost.
- Enumerables as a mixin - your own classes can benefit from the Enumerable module!
- Concurrency - this doesn't technically involve Enumerables, but if we have time we can cover some basic thread usage in Ruby.
This will be a great talk, I hope everyone can join us on Oct. 8th!
