Pool 2 Pool Run (Capitol Building to Lincoln)

  • to
  • The Mall

1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC (map)

    38.898716 -77.037659

  • We will meet at the L'Enfant Metro Station (7th & E SW), in front of the Department of Housing and Urban Development building. (Look for me, the guy with the fro -Fro[nt] Runner)
  • What better way to spend a warm summer evening than running to a pool?!?!

This Saturday we will be socializing the stretch from the Capitol reflecting pool to the Lincoln. The plan will be to meet in front of the L'Enfant Metro station by 7th and E SW at 6:30pm and jog over to the Mall for a dynamic introductory stretch. After loosening up and some smiles, we will be ready for the 2-miler through the Mall. I am aware that the Folklife Festival will be in the final stages and so there will obviously be plenty of distractions en route.

Upon reaching the Lincoln Memorial, we will stop and head over to the Constitution Gardens Pond for a final stretch and either (a) head into town for a drink or (b) return to the festivities on the Mall (in classic 'select-your-own-destiny' Goosebumps activity book fashion). For more information pertaining to the run, check out the weekly bulletin,

Also in the Bulletin are some articles that caught my attention this week, some tips for going out, witty images, and song suggestions.

As always, I look forward to socializing with you soon. Check out the bulletin,

Gonna have to pull out this week--I got a nasty sunburn yesterday and I don't think going outside in the heat is going to do much for it. My fanny pack and I look forward to a glorious reunion some week in the future when I master the use of sunscreen...
