One last picnic before autumn... in Regents Park

UPDATE: Good weather with a bit of wind - we will go ahead and also join with other Speaker friends who will bring some games!

Planned pic-nic location: South-East segment of Regent's Park, between Inner Circle and Chester Road, next to the Tennis Centre.
Link to Regent's Park Map: http://www.royalparks.org.uk/__documents/park_maps/regentspark_english_map.pdf

Nearest tube stations: Great Portland Street, Baker Street, Regent's Park

---

Due to popular request and following our pic-nic in early July, we want to meet again before it gets too cold and wet!
New location: Regents Park

So once again... How do Russian-English Speakers pic-nic?

With blinys, cakes and many games - but also with an entertaining mix of "table topics" in the sunshine: fun, improvised speeches on any random topic organized by your special pic-nic Toastmaster! ))))

A great way to flex your laughing muscles but also to train your skill to think and act independently - and of course, meet new friends.

All this in the green scenery of Regents Park.

Everyone is welcome, including first-timers, new members, friends and family - this is a great opportunity for you to socialize and to get to know more about the club and our activities.

We hope to repeat (and maybe exceed) our wonderful experience and success from this July, so come along and enjoy.

Please let us know ASAP if you are coming so we can plan a great day for everyone.

When:
Sunday, August 24th - 2 pm to 6 pm ca

Where:
Regents Park (to be confirmed)
Closest stations: Baker Street, Great Portland Street

What to bring:
Yourself and your friends. If you can bring your favorite food and drinks, that would be great, too, but it's not compulsory.

I spent more 1 hour walking around park and could not find it, I left my contact number and ask to provide contact number, noone called me. Very disappointed. You should organise meeting point near tube station not in the secret location in the park. And have at least emergency contact number. It is not just me who could not find it. Waste of time...

Thanks Dennis, feedback accepted on the emergency number. Though again, this was a very visible spot and everyone else found it (no secret locations...), so I am a bit surprised you [two of you] were not able to find us. We were exactly at the map location and even had a good audience of passer-bys. Tube station would have been inconvenient as different people arrived at different times. Sorry you couldn't make it.

I am the other one who could not find it. But I explored some very parts of Regent's Park in the process and met a very nice Japanese artist. So, no regrets.

I was lost. Directions were not adequate. But I read good reviews. Looking for this spot made me find and photographs of nooks and cranies of Regent's Park. It was a blessing in disguise.

Great joint event with the Canary Wharf guys - we need to do more of these! Funny moments how some random ladies joined us to see us limbo dance! Forget about Notting Hill Carnival... Russian English Speakers is 1000 times better!

How can anyone find you if you are hiding behind a hedge. I got fed up of walking and came back home.

Hi Rakesh, sorry about this. Actually a bit surprised you couldn't find us as we were considerably visible (and drawing a lot of attention :-) )... I guess there were multiple groups in the area and you might have passed us? Or you mixed up a side-road? Who knows... anyway, this happens - next time we will put a flag or something to help identify us more easily! Thanks
