Let's improve our Rust knowledge through learning and hacking together.
We're going to build two sub-groups, one for learning from the book ( http://doc.rust-lang.org/book/ ) and one for hacking on projects. We will start to meet from 6:30 onwards to socialize and plan. 7:00 we'll split into the two sub-groups, Christian will be leading "learning from the book", whereas the hacking sub-group will work on projects in teams (if someone would like to take on the role coordinating this part, that might be useful). You can also come to work on your own project and take your chance at talking to other people about it informally. We may take some time at the end of the evening to summarize our results, and some results might become presentations in the normal Rust user group meetings.
If there's a project that you'd like to work on in a team, feel free to mention it in the comments. You'll get time to pitch it at our evening in any case.
Have a look at our wiki/website with more information: http://rustaceans.uk/
Regardless of whether you can come, if you're interested send me your Github user name and I'll add you to our Github organization and send you a link to a poll for the best day in the future.
