Topic 1: Optimizing AI Data Workflow
Presenter: Yaser Khalighi, Founder
Caliber Data Labs (https://www.caliberdatalabs.ai/)
About Caliber Data Labs:
With the emergence of perception-heavy applications such as autonomous vehicles, surveillance, and industrial robotics, having a robust AI workflow management platform is an essential prerequisite for any new organization. Our flagship edge-first platform, SceneBox, simplifies the collection, discovery, and management of large volumes of data such as high-resolution images, lidars, and videos.
Topic 2: Battery Failure Detection
Presenter: Houssain Fahad, Founder
Serinus Labs (http://serinuslabs.com)
About Serinus Labs:
We are developing early warning technology to provide a means to predict battery failure in Electric Vehicles (EV). Specifically, we are manufacturing proprietary sensors to monitor small amounts of off-gas from lithium-ion battery modules.
Topic 3: Structural Color
Presenter: Nagendra Nagarajayya, Founder
e-skin Displays (http://eskindisplays.com)
About e-skin Displays:
e-skin Displays has invented and created angle independent, nano structural color flakes like the wings of a butterfly or the feathers of a peacock -- rich, vivid and bright colors that will never fade over centuries. In addition, the nano structure provides benefits such as inherent cooling and reflectivity that enhance its uses.
Topic 4: Fuel Cell Range Extension
Presenter: Vlad Kalika, Founder
Proof Energy (http://proof-energy.com)
About Proof Energy:
Proof Energy is revolutionizing the future of power generation in transportation and stationary generator markets. Our 50kW Power Module uses Direct Ethanol Solid Oxide Fuel Cell technology licensed from Lawrence Berkeley National Labs. As fuel cell range extender it significantly reduces the size and cost of battery pack enabling medium and heavy duty EV market.
Top 5: Taking HAVs Offroad
Presenter: Konrad Koeppe, Head of UX/UI
Bareways develops middleware to enable HAVs in rural areas, providing optimized routing and real-time information about passability and road conditions. This information can be used to plan routes based on real-time data to navigate and enable driving assistance features and semi-autonomous vehicles.
Each of these companies will present their companies and products as part of the 12th annual GAMIC Innovation Challenge. The Global Automotive & Mobility Challenge (GAMIC) is an annual competition for early-stage automotive and mobility companies with emerging technologies. It works to identify innovative companies from around the world, cultivate new technologies and solutions and accelerate their adoption into the automotive and mobility industries. Winners share more than $300,000 in commercialization acceleration services and cash, along with facilitated introductions to top influencers and decision-makers.
GAMIC Finals are held during the SAE WCX World Congress in Detroit in April - attended by over 10,000 people including forward-thinking engineers, executives, OEMs, suppliers, decision-makers, disruptors and mobility professionals -- participants get exposure to vast networking and connections opportunities.
