Have you ever wanted to journey through the mystical cities, forts and palaces of Rajasthan as well at the highlights of Mughal Delhi and Agra? There’s never a better time to visit the region than December, with warm sunny days and cool nights. Travelling in a private deluxe bus, we’ll spend 10 days exploring the region. In addition to the amazing historic monuments we’ll also be looking for tigers in Ranthambore National Forest and visiting temples and pilgrimage sites. You will be accompanied by Jiten, our Enrouta Experience Officer, to assist with any dietary needs, excursions and assistance. After Rajasthan, you’ll have the option to relax at the beaches for 3 additional nights.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Saturday Dec 21st - Arrive Delhi

Arrive in the capital city of Delhi. Today is a day of rest, orientation and light sightseeing. Enrouta will host a Meet & Greet happy hour followed by a group dinner.

Day 2 – Sunday Dec 22nd - Delhi

We’ll take a morning tour of New Delhi visiting the Qatab Minar and a driving tour of the rest of the city.

In the afternoon, you will have the option to continue sightseeing on your own or rest at the hotel. We will also arrange visits with entrance assistance to any of the important religious sites such as the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, Akshardham Temple, Jama Masjid or Bahai Lotus Temple. In the evening, we’ll visit one of the up-coming lounges to get a taste of the “New” India followed by an option to go to a night-club.

Day 3 – Monday Dec 23rd - Delhi to Agra

Today starts with an early morning trip to Agra by an AC coach. On the way we’ll stop and visit various monuments culminating with a late afternoon visit to the high-point of Mogul architecture – the Taj Mahal.

Day 4 – Tuesday Dec 24th - Agra to Ranthambore

After visiting the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri, we travel to Ranthambore in time for an early evening safari. Ranthambore is famous for its tigers.

Day 5 – Wednesday Dec 25th - Ranthambore to Pushkar

The next morning we’ll start with another jeep safari in our hunt for the elusive tiger. Following this we’ll drive to Pushkar. En-route we’ll visit the famous Sufi shrine, Dargah Shari. Pushkar is a pilgrimage town with one of the world’s few Brahma temples. There are over 500 temples and ghats surrounding a mystical lake.

Day 6 – Thursday Dec 26th - Pushkar to Jodhpur

Perched at the edge of the desert beneath Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur is called the Blue City because of its many blue painted dwellings. On your first evening in Jodhpur you can relax at the hotel pool or partake in a traditional Rajasthani dinner on the hotel grounds.

Day 7– Friday Dec 27th - Jodhpur

See the sites of Jodhpur including the imposing Mehrangarh fort and the ornate Umaid Bhavan Palace. In the afternoon the group will have free time to wander through the old town – a favorite for photographers. You may also opt to visit a traditional village in the surrounding countryside. For those who want to mix in a bit of activity, there is also the option to do a zip-line course off the top of the fort! Dinner will be on a roof terrace overlooking the fort.

Day 8 – Saturday Dec 28th - Jodhpur to Udaipur

After breakfast, we will drive to drive to Ranakpur, home of one of the most expansive Jain temples in the world. After the trip we will continue our drive to Udaipur.

Day 9 – Sunday Dec 29th - Udaipur

Udaipur is the quintessential Rajasthani town with palaces, forts and an old city center. We will see the Udaipur Palace. In the afternoon, you will have time to rest at the hotel to rest or go on a half day horse safari in the countryside. In the late afternoon we will be able to watch the sunset over the famous Lake Palace during our farewell dinner.

Day 10 – Monday Dec 30th - Udaipur to Delhi/Ahmedabad/Mumbai/Goa

Our tour ends in Udaipur where we will coordinate your flight/transfer to your exit gateway or a trip to visit your family and relatives.

Optional Beach Add On - Monday Dec 30th – Wednesday Jan 2nd - (Goa/Kerala)

TGS Jaipur is coordinating transportation. TGS has over 60 years of experience and has a focus on reliability and safety. They have organized several VIP trips including the last personal trip of President Clinton and entourage.
