Autism Expression Group

Location visible to members

The goal of this meetup is to set a safe space for people to share their stories and feelings with the group.

My thinking with this event has been influenced by my time in 12 step groups and with things like talking stick ceremonies. People get to share their experiences without cross talk or competition. There is no obligation to share, but doing so when you are ready might just be healing.

We will meet at 630 for a 640 start. I’ll chair the meeting and invite people to talk about their journey with autism.

There are cafe close by if we want to talk afterwards.

I will have clear signs up so you can find us.

If you feel nervous about attending that’s fine, myself or another member can meet you before hand. Feel free to message me if you think you’d like some support.

The venue is private, capped at 10, and has toilets, and coffee facilities.

Feel free to message me with any questions.
Hope to see you there.
Chris 🙂

Prime Ministerial Pop Quiz

A Prime Ministerial Pop Quiz!

Sounds exciting doesn't it?

Yeah ok, maybe not.
But it will be informative! A few months back I realized I knew more about US presidents than I did about our own Prime Ministers, so I decided to do a bit of light study to educate myself. I found some interesting stuff and to be honest some pretty dry content too.

In this event I will try to teach you some interesting things about our PMs in a loose quiz format, that being that I ask the groups questions and see if anyone actually knows the answers. Some questions you may know, some you may guess, and others may surprise you.

I am also posting this event with the Activate Mental Health meetup group.

You will need the room code for this event, it is:

Meeting ID:[masked]

Passcode: uSZK5Y

So come along for some Friday night company.
feel free to message me with any thoughts or questions
Happy days

Walk around Hyde Park 🌲

Hyde Park

Hello everyone☀️

This is a casual chat/walk meetup around picturesque Hyde Park.

We will meet on the grass near the roundabout on Glendowner and Palmerston Street (it’s the only roundabout around the park). I will be about 10 minutes early if you’re there before time. We will gather and chat before heading of to do 2-3 laps of the park. Afterwards we may head up to BOOtoo for coffee and other snacks.

If you arrive late message me through meetup and we will meet you on the path near the playground and food vans.

Let’s stay covid safe and follow any guidelines that are in place. I will bring hand sanitiser and sunscreen.

I may need to change or alter this meetup is the weather gets funky.

If you have any questions feel free to message me via meetup.

Hope to catch you soon 🙂

Lake Gwelup Nature Reserve Walk

Lake Gwelup Reserve

Hi everyone👋🏻
I was recommended by Martin Van Den Bok to organise another walking event at Lake Gwelup Nature Reserve.

So we will all meet in the Lake Gwelup public carpark at 8am.
Address is 46 Huntriss Rd, Gwelup WA 6018, Australia.
Google maps position is Dropped pin

Please note that there is plenty of car parking at the meeting spot, which is also very easily accessible via public transport, as the nearest Transperth bus stop is right there at the meeting spot.

Just remember to wear good walking shoes and clothes for walking and depending on how hot it’s going to be, bring plenty of water as well. Bring a raincoat too should they forecast rain that day.

My mobile number is[masked], if you have any trouble finding us.
