New Meetup: Return of the Wednesday Night Ride and Imbibe

Announcing a new Meetup for The San Antonio Hiking & Outdoors Meetup Group!

What: Return of the Wednesday Night Ride and Imbibe

When: September 2,[masked]:30 PM

Hills and Dales
15403 White Fawn Dr
San Antonio, TX 78255

Guess who finally got their mountain bike fixed??? Ok, that was easy...

We will depart from the Bamberger Park parking lot Bamberger Park and head to OP Schnabel park, ride about 8-9 miles through OP and then head to Hills and Dales from the starting point. The total mileage should be about 8-10 miles and will take 1h30m or less. Once at H/D we will hang out for a bit to cool down and visit over frosty adult beverages.
If anyone has not ridden OP Schnabel on a mountain bike, it can be slightly demanding. Much of it can be ridden without any worries of falling down, but there are a couple of spots where discretion would be the better part of valor for novices. As always, once we gather at the meeting location, I can adjust things to meet the needs of the group. If you want to come but are unsure of your abilities/equipment, give me a call/email and I will be more than happy to help out.
I would suggest bringing at least 1 water bottle and/or a camel back as there is no water available on the course. You will also need an extra bike tube and a way to inflate it. Most of us will have pumps, but just in case.
As always, let me know if there are any questions/concerns. Hope to see many of you there.

Chris Adolph
